Currently, we are looking for an Account Development Analyst to join the ArcBest team. The Account Development Analyst develops and manages processes and customer relationships in order to maintain and grow high-potential accounts for the purpose of increasing our wallet share within them. This position provides superior analytical and inter-personal skills while working directly with multiple departments to increase our presence through service line expansion, as well as, providing an industry-leading Customer Experience. The Account Development Analyst offers a high degree of responsibility and exposure to numerous aspects of the transportation business, including pricing, sales, marketing, and all modes of freight movement.

Your contribution may include:

  • Grow ArcBest wallet share within the teams managed accounts while leveraging cross-sell techniques, tactical oversight, and strategic problem solving.
  • Build relationships and directly communicate with customers to identify requirements and instill confidence in the company’s ability to meet agreed upon requirements.
  • Create and architect solutions to become the preferred point of contact for their managed accounts.
  • Design and implement customized solutions to meet the ever-changing requirements for high-output and high-potential customers.
  • Provide market-competitive quotes for ArcBest customers with a focus on maintaining profitability and market share while making pricing decisions on multiple-quote scenarios and providing rates to customers on electronic bid board.
  • Establish a consistent cadence for conducting business reviews while creating the format, content, and deliverables needed to satisfy the customers’ expectations.
  • Have a strong competency in digital customer engagement while utilizing all channels of digital communication.
  • Monitor the compliance of standard operating procedures and correct potential non-conformance for assigned accounts.
  • Provide account reporting on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment while providing industry leading customer solutions and service.
  • Provide weekend and after-hours coverage, as required.
  • Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.

As the Account Development Analyst, you will be a member of the ArcBest Customer Solutions team. Your work hours may vary based on scheduling to provide market coverage during normal business hours, generally Monday-Friday, 6am-7pm. May include occasional irregular and weekend hours depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: Prior logistics experience, preferred. Knowledge of ABF’s costing model and ArcBest billing, coding, costing, and capabilities. Knowledge of tariffs, service-level pricing, and the state of the market.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
