At CESO, a Director of Design is responsible for leading the process of creating and developing the fundamental design principles to guide projects from start to finish. You will have primary responsibilities that include: – Provide guidance to team members by delegating and coordinating the work of the team, or working with Job Captains, Interior Designers, Project Construction Administrators and/or Architects – Design and prepare 2D and 3D detailed construction drawings and designs using computer aided design (CAD) and/or building information modelling (BIM) software – Provide interpretation of company and AHJ standards on all designs and layouts for team members – Provide direction for team members for design of schematic concepts in conjunction with client programs – Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from subconsultant drawings and reports – Work with team members to establish, maintain and/or implement company drawings in compliance with company drawing and CAD/BIM standards – Research and provide direction on design options and code issues – Provide high level of customer service to team members, clients and potential clients, including setting and attending team and client meetings – Review Civil, FP, S and MEP plans to assure coordination with architectural design plans – Serve as quality assurance and quality control leader and reviewer in the company – Review the work of others and provide feedback and/or redlines for others to address – Read and interpret Construction Documents – Working knowledge of CAD, BIM and/or specifications – Understanding of building codes and design and construction document process – Management and guidance of the team’s overall flow and quality of work – Provide guidance and direction to team members to assist them in their professional development along with identifying and delivering career path objectives – Perform other project and supervisory duties as assigned Position requirements include: – Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with 10+ years’ experience as a registered architect; or in lieu of a degree, 20+ years of Architecture experience with a current registration – Experience leading a team – Architectural License (active) required – CSICCS and/or CDT certification preferred – LEED certification preferred – Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Rendering Software, Photo Editing Software, Microsoft Office Suite – Ability to travel Benefits and Perks Include: – Flexible and Hybrid Work Schedule – Paid Time Off – Credited to You 100% Upfront – 401K with a Company Match – Rewards and Recognition Program – Training and Development to Foster Professional Growth – Paid Holidays – Medical / Dental / Vision Coverage including High Deductible Health Plan – Welcome Box – Casual Dress Code – Reimbursement for Professional Licenses – Paid Time Off for Community Team Service Events – Short-Term / Long-Term Disability – Employee Assistance Program – Paid Maternity / Paternity Leave – Employee events such as lunches and outings to foster a positive work environment CESO is a principle-centered organization that aligns with strong service values, integrity, and authenticity.
