Forklift Mechanic

Job Description

Description:

+ Maintains and repairs all Forklift equipment and facilities (could include dock doors)

+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain Raymond electric forklift equipment.

+ Repair hydraulic lines, lifts, etc. ability to trace out possible leaks, replace lines

+ Electrical repairs for all components from batteries, motors, electrical wiring

+ Utilize and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

+ Assist with facilities upkeep and maintenance as needed

+ Replace chains and belts, hydraulics and pneumatics on facility equipment

+ Log work orders for forklift equipment

+ Perform service calls and PM’s on all MHE units

Responsibilities as follows:

+ Perform quality diagnosis/repairs of equipment (Raymond)

+ Communicate with service/parts department to quickly resolve problems

+ Position will include completing assignments safely and to operational satisfaction

+ Follow procedures in obtaining work order from service department

+ Complete work assignments safely and efficiently

+ Maintains a clean working environment (shop / workspace)

+ This role may require some overtime when necessary
