At Olsson, we help our clients proactively comply with complicated regulatory processes and provide our clients with the best and latest methods to review projects and maintain compliance with the Clean Water Act-Section 404, Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Bald, and Golden Eagle Protection Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and others. As a Lead Environmental Biologist – Renewables for our Environmental team, you will serve as lead project manager for the team, focusing on Renewable Energy and Endangered Species project execution, winning repeat work, and managing key client accounts. You will also support marketing and business development efforts, supervise/direct professionals and technical staff, and promote efficiencies in producing quality work. You will collaborate across various teams and/or offices, mentor and train others on complex work, and may travel to job sites for field work.
Olsson currently has an opportunity for a Lead Environmental Biologist – Renewables. We will consider candidates interested in being located near any office within the Olsson footprint.

+ Strong communication skills

+ Background in Endangered Species, Renewable Energy, and other aspects of environmental planning
+ Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or related field
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in the consulting industry
+ At least 4 years of experience serving as a project manager
