SPA’s Maritime Division provides timely, objective, analytic assessments, strategic planning, and expert operational, technical and acquisition support to the Undersea and Surface Warfare communities, and related agencies and partners. We play key roles in providing the insights and strategies to address current and emerging challenges to our national security. We have tremendous impact in assisting our clients to achieve success on their most important issues and programs within the constraints of the budget environment.
The Naval Surface Warfare Analysis Group (NSWAG), within Maritime Division focuses primarily on providing analytic and program support to the Surface Warfare component of the United States Navy, enabling enhanced decision-making regarding the allocation of resources to improve operational capabilities. This support includes personnel, manpower, training and education support to OPNAV N1 including Navy Recruiting Command, Millington, TN.
SPA has an immediate need for a Navy Recruiting Command Operations Research Analyst in Millington, TN. #CJ #IN123
The successful candidate will support Navy Recruiting Command’s N5 in applying operations research, numerical, and statistical analysis techniques (including coding) to support recruiting programs and initiatives; Analyze recruiting data and report mission performance trends to command leadership; Perform mathematical modeling, specifically with regression and classification methods, to include CART, in order to build predictive models; Understand, create and execute integrated master plans, integrated master schedules, Gantt charts, critical path analysis, plans of action and milestones (POAMs), deliverable time-lines, user reports, and communications plans from applicable Navy Recruiting Command tools and data.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, business, law, engineering, social sciences, physical/applied science, or management discipline such as business administration, accounting, finance, economics or management information technology
+ 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in data or statistical analysis, or business process improvement
+ Knowledge of the Navy Recruiting process
+ Extensive experience with coding languages (SQL, Python, R, Excel)
+ Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance and maintain throughout time of employment
Desired Qualifications:
+ Understanding of Classification and Regression Trees (CART) to build predictive models
+ Experience with product development for executive level leadership
