$500 Retention Bonus after 3 Months in the Position, and a 2nd $500 Retention Bonus after 6 Months.

This Sbarro is located within our E-Z Mart store on 6424 Richmond Road in Texarkana, TX

GPM Investments, one of the largest owners of convenience stores in the country, has entered into a partnership with the New York style pizza company, Sbarro. GPM has been opening up Sbarro food services in our convenience stores since the start of 2022, with over a dozen locations open so far, we plan to open up plenty more over the next few years! The timing couldn’t be better to join this growing franchise arm of GPM!

Responsible for assisting the General Manager in achieving restaurant objectives. Assists the General Manager in assigning, directing and following up on activities of restaurant employees including managers and team members. Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures, federal, state and local laws and Company business standards. This position must be able to work and communicate effectively with the restaurant management team and the team members in order to drive sales and profits.

Responsibilities

+ Able to perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members

+ Lead team meetings, along with Restaurant Manager

+ Oversee Brand Training Programs, schedule, train, validate, certify team and shift lead staff

+ Ensure Brand standards, recipes and systems are executed

+ Create and maintain a guest focused culture in the restaurant

+ Review guest feedback results and implement action plans to drive improvement

+ Communicates restaurant priorities, goals and results to restaurant team members

+ Execute along with RM, new product rollouts including training, marketing and sampling where applicable

+ Execution of Point of Purchase instore set up per Brand standards

+ Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation requirements and complying with all applicable laws

+ Control costs to help maximize profitability

+ Completion of inventory on a periodic basis as determined by Franchisee

+ Support RM in completion of weekly labor schedule ensuring all shifts are staffed to meet guest demand and service standards

+ Support RM in assigning staff and deployment

+ Support to RM in completion of supplier and other vendor orders

+ Conduct self-assessments and corresponding action plans

+ Ensure restaurant budget is met as determined by Franchisee

+ Manages cash over/short in restaurant and ensures team members are following franchisee’s cash management policies

+ Engages with Sbarro’ Brands Field Operations team as appropriate

+ Recruit, hire, onboard and develop restaurant team members

+ Assist team and shift lead performance appraisal process

+ Coach restaurant team members to drive sales, improve profitability and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

+ 18 years of age or older for AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO/ 21 years of age for all other states

+ Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

+ Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)

+ Ability to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally

+ Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and will be subject to a criminal history background check
