Purpose and Essential Duties
The Mechanical Designer II. Engineering will design plumbing systems, components, or assemblies using engineering principles.
Specific responsibilities include:
+ Works closely with project managers to create unique high-level concepts and designs for all assigned projects.
+ Works closely with creative team to ensure successful execution of goals of all assigned projects.
+ Influences stylistic direction for projects.
+ Delivers concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines.
+ Contributes to all areas of the creative process and department.
+ Performs work under direct supervision.
+ Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
+ May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Engineering Director.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
+ 2-4 years’ design experience
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
+ Strong technical skills
+ Effective oral and written communications skills
+ Vision and Creativity
+ Ability to meet deadlines
+ Leadership skills
+ Planning skills
+ Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter.
+ Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
+ Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree
Travel Requirements
+ Travel shall be required on occasion depending on project need and location. The travel commitment is estimated to be around 15% – 20% of regular work schedule per month.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements+ Shall require long periods of sitting or standing at a desk in front of a computer in the office environment.
+ The office environment is usually quiet.
+ Shall require the ability to walk, climb and crawl on a project construction site on occasions.
+ May be exposed to inclement weather.
