The Area Lead is a member of the cell that directs, coaches, and leads other Technical Operators across all shifts. Their focus is to lead their cell in continuous improvements activities around Budgeting, Preventative Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and development of operators engaged to optimize the running and maintenance of equipment within the factory.

Location of the job: Jonesboro, AR

Base Pay: $35.10, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for the PM shift assignments, paid weekly Shift: 12 hr night shift, 6pm-6:15am, 2/2/3 schedule- Weekend Shift (Nights) Friday, Saturday and Sunday Possibly Saturday, Sunday and Monday

What You’ll Do:

+ Technical -Knowledge and application of technical skills to Operate, Maintain, Improve and Repair equipment. This allows production targets to be met safely, at the right level of quality and on time. Understand the principles of mechanism and motion and be able to conduct changeovers, basic repairs and adjustments (e.g.Cams, slides, bearings, belts and pulleys).

+ Work with other Leaders on entire Jonesboro production lines on a continuous basis making recommendations on continuous improvement and challenge the status quo to drive quality and efficiencies.

+ Accountable for the productivity of the cell across all shifts. This requires contacting appropriate resources for issue resolution, providing alternative duties in the event of breakdown or material shortage, monitoring general performance and behavior of employees and adjusting crewing. This requires interfacing with facilities support, material planning, quality support, warehouse and other departments to ensure efficient operation to meet plant goals.

+ Continuously improve the processes and machinery through various principles of Lean and Just-in-time production to reduce cost, improve quality, and improve the ergonomic safety of our team members.

+ Responsible for continuous improvement and driving loss reduction.

+ Fully capable to assist in managing of the budget responsibilities of the cell

+ Manage all aspects of personnel working in the production cell responsible for producing quality product in a safe manner.

+ Coordinate all aspects of compounding, filling, and packaging of products for an assigned work cell.

+ Perform various maintenance to equipment, including training machine operators on basic maintenance.

+ Must be flexible within pattern of shift work to accommodate factory shutdowns, training courses etc.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ 3 + years’ experience working in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods Company Manufacture in leadership and technical skills.

+ 3 + years’ experience working in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods Company Manufacture experience in maintenance.

+ Strong experience in analytical problem solving.

+ Strong interpersonal skills working with peers, other managers, and hourly employees.

+ Experience working in a high-performance team-based work environment.
