Job Description
Summary
The Student Transition Coordinator organizes all facets of a comprehensive transition experience for all entering undergraduate students. Under supervision by the Academic Coaching Services Supervisor and in close collaboration with Admissions, Student Services, academic Deans and other campus entities, this position has responsibility for all planning, organization, implementation, operations & programs designed to support a seamless, successful transition to the University. Responsible for all functions 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday, including weekends.
Responsibilities
+ Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates all transition activities for first-year and transfer students each trimester beginning after the acceptance of the offer of admission and extending through students’ first semester.
+ Lead the development, implementation, management and assessment of transtition course(s) and online platforms serving all new students.
+ Identify, set and assess short- and long-term goals that align transition activities with established professional standards, divisional and institutional strategic plans.
+ Develop the Transition Team and leadership group including regular on-campus meetings and occasional participation in regional training conferences.
+ Direct the development, growth, management and evaluation of extensive social media and digital communications activities in support of new student success.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Desired: Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Communication, Marketing or related field. Minimum:Experience
