Livestock Nutrition Center specializes in blending customized rations, supplements and premixes to meet the specific nutritional needs of Livestock Producer’s operations. We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the Producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Job Summary
Livestock Nutrition Center is currently seeking a team-oriented and safety-minded Operations Supervisor. The Operations Supervisor is to assist the Location Fulfillment Manager in the operation and processing of the blend facility. Responsibilities include all facets of the operation and mixing of feed. The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Responsibilities and Duties
+ Oversee operational processes and procedures of the feed mill.
+ Implement Standard Operating Procedures, including all necessary training for production/processing personnel at the feed mill.
+ Oversee and follow Preventative Maintenance programs and all equipment maintenance with production/processing and maintenance teams. This includes production and delivery equipment.
+ Assist with the necessary QA/QC programs, including FSMA compliance.
+ Lead the selection and hiring of all hourly Production personnel at the facility.
+ Assist in overseeing CAP EX projects
+ Ensure timely ordering and receiving of ingredients for production needs by communicating daily and weekly ingredient needs to the Procurement Team.
+ Ensure proper mixing of all feeds
+ Assist in managing raw material inventories to assure accurate measurements, control shrink and maintain product in merchantable condition.
+ Coordinate production schedules, including hours of operation and scheduled maintenance downtimes.
+ Set and achieve Production goals for efficiency and on time deliveries.
+ Assist in coordinating feed delivery schedules with the Production team.
+ Educate, implement and strictly enforce all LNC Safety and Compliance procedures at the facility.
+ Ensure the Facility appearance and all Personnel represent LNC in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
+ Bachelor of Science degree; Agricultural degree preferred.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
+ Strong sense of Customer Service with both internal and external customers.
+ Dedication to team environment.
+ Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast and ever-changing environment.
+ Demonstrate the ability to lead teams by example.
+ Safety oriented mindset.
+ Basic understanding of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) of Feed Manufacturing.
+ Ability to work evening shifts as needed.
