The Associate Actuary, SPA RX will be mainly responsible for supporting the pricing work related to our standalone Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs). This includes both bid development and reforecasts throughout the year. In addition, this position will also include various other ad hoc assignments related to Medicare Part D forecasting, pricing, and analysis.

The Associate Actuary role in this position will include the following main responsibilities:
+ Working with various departments and groups to develop and document the pricing assumptions used in preparation of PDP bids and Supporting Documentation
+ Preparing the PDP bids and Supporting Documentation for the initial and all subsequent submissions
+ Maintaining and improving pricing tools
+ Quantifying and reporting impacts of assumption changes between forecasts
+ Performing analyses in order to optimize financial performance of PDP offerings
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
+ Meets eligibility requirements for Humana’s Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP)
+ MAAA
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Highly motivated and willing to learn
Preferred Qualifications
+ Three or more years of Actuarial Healthcare Experience
+ Three or more years of Medicare experience
+ Ability to work independently
+ Strong analytical skills
+ SAS experience
+ Power BI experience
