Purpose and Essential Duties:Primary Purpose: The Bernhard Plumbing Superintendent’s primary purpose is to provide overall direction for the field installation of the assigned project. Owns direct responsibility for “field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety” on assigned projects. Represents Bernhard on the project site and ensures that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope. The Superintendent must be specialized in the areas of hospitals
+ Totally accountable for quality installation of the project
+ Reviewing submittals for accuracy and compliance
+ Identifying potential change orders
+ Customer relations
+ Conduct weekly safety meetings
+ Attend cost/job reviews
+ Schedule manpower and also responsible for hiring workers
+ Interpret plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation
+ Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions
+ Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity
+ Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress
+ Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards & Bernhard work rules
+ Schedule equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities
+ Administer construction contract
+ Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews, and prepare timesheets and two weeks look a heads
+ Bring the job in on time and under budget
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:+ 5+ years verifiable experience as a Plumbing Superintendent and state plumbing license
+ At least 5 years of experience in LARGE ($20M+) commercial construction (hospitals)
+ Proven leadership and supervisory skills
+ Team Player
+ Organizational and planning skills
+ Must be detailed oriented
+ At least 6 months of safety training
+ Must have med-gas experience
Preferred Education, Experience and Qualifications:+ Other state licenses a plus
