This is a Full-Time, Respiratory Therapist position at Mercy Hospital Booneville.

Exciting New Incentives:
Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Respiratory Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Respiratory co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .6 FTE and above, working 48 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.
Overview:
A Registered Respiratory Therapist's (RRT's) duties will include setting up and operating devices such as therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators, providing emergency care, such as external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and maintaining charts that contain patient identification and therapy information. Works in accordance to the mission, vision, and values of Mercy.
A degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited program or college, RCP license in the state of Oklahoma, and National Registry designation by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) are required for consideration. Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation and experience with respiratory equipment are the keys to success in this role
Qualifications:
Education: Graudate of an AMA approved School for Respiratory Care with an Associate Degree preferred
Licensure: Must be licensed by the State of Arkansas to practice Respiratory Care (LRCP)
Experience: Must have a working knowledge of Respiratory Care inclucing Ventilator Management and Blood Gas Analysis
Certifications: Must be eligible to take or have passed the Registeration (RRT) exam given by the NBRC. Must be certified by the American Heart Association to provide CPR.
Other: Must be able to work with computers in a health care environment
Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree
Preferred Experience: Previous experience working in Respiratory Care in the hospital enviroment
Preferred Certifications: PALS ACLS NRP
Preferred Other: Advanced Computer Skills Ability to learn and work with computerized equipment and patient care applications.
