Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:This one-year position is a Research Specialist appointment within the Department of Agriculture, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) for a grant with the LASER PULSE and USAID - MSI project. The individual will be working at the UAPB Agricultural Technology Center in continuous communication with PI and Co-PI to monitor day to day activities of the project. The individual will lead studies, including literature review, data collection, statistical analysis, and presentation and publication of results.
FUNCTIONS
oconduct a baseline Focus Group Discussion (FGD) focusing on a deeper understanding of current grain drying know-how, methods, and needs of underserved communities in Arkansas.
oassist in building and modifying the BAU-STR dryer, if necessary, in the Arkansas environment
ohelp to set up the experiments, collect and analyze data for techno-economic performance evaluation of the dryer in the Arkansas environment
