EY, Academic Resource Center Leader

?This role manages all aspects of the Academic Resource Center (ARC). The ARC is a virtual center with the mission of developing state of the art accounting curricula and other resources that is free for all academics. This role has the responsibility for the development of all curricula deliverables, the delivery of these deliverables through a private ARC site and the marketing for the ARC. Because the ARC is sponsored by the Ernst & Young Foundation (a charitable organization), the role must be willing to work both a not-for-profit and for-profit environment, balancing the legal responsibilities of both.

The opportunity

As the EY, Academic Resource Center Leader you’ll coordinate the development and promotion work of the academics, partners, retirees and other content leaders. You’ll have complete responsibility for the budgets (both the Foundation and the firm budgets) and the timeliness and quality of the work product. You’ll create and manage the brand of these materials and the ARC as they relate to the firm and the Foundation.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for assessing the current landscape relative to accounting and business to establish annual ARC objectives and determine the form and substance of curriculum and other resources. You will determine all steps required to get curricula developed, approved, disseminated and to secure market positioning. You will be expected to have the willingness and ability to navigate the firm’s infrastructure for an appropriate relationship with the firm’s relevant leadership. You will have an understanding of the most efficient way to repurpose and leverage certain firm materials into faculty resources.

Skills and attributes for success

+ Ability to manage all aspects of hiring, onboarding and administrative processing for the consultants in the ARC (retired partners and faculty), including contracting agreements, technology provisioning, payments, tax liabilities, etc.

+ Adept at determining ARC objectives through assessment of faculty needs and identifying deliverables and other resource offers to satisfy the objectives

+ Determine all the ways to integrate the operations and outcome of the ARC with the firm’s business and brand

+ Manage the staff of the ARC (retired partners and faculty), including the development and oversight of work streams for the timeliness and quality of all deliverables and participation in appropriate marketing activities

+ Able to identify and coordinate with Firm leadership and other internal resources to inform the content agenda and for oversight of review processes

+ Coordinate with Firm Technology teams on the development and maintenance of the ARC private website. Manage all compliance and infrastructure requirements. Appropriately vet, establish, and maintain faculty and EY professional accounts for access. Manage all content on the site

+ Manage all aspects of branding and advertising the ARC and the deliverables. Identify, coordinate and make eternal presentations about the ARC, its deliverables and the learning content. Coordinate with Campus Recruitment, University Relations, Marketing and Business Development teams to integrate ARC initiatives into strategy and messaging

To qualify for the role you must have

+ Adept at managing budgets

+ Strong experience and demonstrated ability to follow firm branding guidelines and apply those guidelines to a set of electronic deliverables

+ Robust experience with online content management and dissemination

+ Familiarity with the workings of universities and faculty – including work drivers, protocols and constraints

+ Demonstrated success in understanding and application of accounting and business knowledge, developing and delivering training/teaching materials, negotiations of contracts selling and marketing, and managing a diverse and mature team of experienced professionals

+ Undergraduate degree required. Formal education in accounting with demonstrated continuing accounting education required

+ Minimum 10-15 years of experience

+ Certified Public Accountants preferred for the understanding of the content of the ARC

Ideally, you’ll also have

+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects

+ Experience in human resources including familiarity with general policies, onboarding, remote staffing

+ Ability to travel as needed to support marketing initiatives

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $133,300 to $249,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $160,000 to $283,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
