The Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Home Solutions Strategy Lead Role

Humana’s Home Strategy team is looking for a high-performing leader to join our team and advance our home-centric care delivery strategy.

The team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with Humana’s senior leadership in setting the strategic direction for the Home Solutions organization and delivering a broad variety of high-impact strategy projects. Example projects include:

+ Growth strategy: assessing pathways for driving growth in our core home businesses, both organically and inorganically

+ Clinical innovation: building the business case and go-to-market strategy for innovative new home-centric services & offerings

+ Investment prioritization: determining what investments we need to make to achieve our strategy, and the value creation from those investments

As a Home Strategy Lead, you will identify and analyze exciting new growth opportunities and work with business leaders to execute strategic transformation. The team frequently develops strategy updates to C-suite leaders and the Board of Directors. Day to day activities of the Home Strategy Lead will include overseeing workstreams that pull together market, quantitative & qualitative analysis and synthesis of strategic options to create executive level deliverables and recommendations for Humana’s senior leaders and Board.

Key Responsibilities

+ Independently leading a wide range of cross-organization strategic engagements, including strategy setting, strategy execution, and business development activities, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring buy-in and consensus

+ Synthesizing research & analysis, developing and testing hypotheses, identifying areas of opportunity, and presenting strategic recommendations

+ Collaborating with the Home Solutions leadership team, including the President, to establish and communicate organization strategy

+ Converting strategy into execution (e.g. pilots, partnerships) while prioritizing timelines and ensuring stakeholder buy-in and consensus

+ Managing external relationships with key business partners

+ Developing and refining key team operating systems and mentoring individual team members, with the potential to manage team members directly

+ Building reputation as a trusted thought partner to senior business line leaders

Role Essentials

+ Bachelors degree with 6 years of experience and Masters with 4+ years of relevant experience such as consulting, product management, business development, or corporate strategy experience

+ Proven experience setting priorities and defining the future direction of a company (i.e. competitive analysis, strategy road map, strategic investment prioritization)

+ Strong business acumen with proven ability to apply foundational strategy principles to a variety of business problems

+ Strong quantitative and conceptual analytical and problem solving skills

+ Proven experience working directly with and presenting to Executive level management

+ Interest in and passion for people development

+ Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems

+ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication and presentation skills.

+ Demonstrated ability to interact with senior leadership internally and externally

Role Desirables

+ Experience working in healthcare industry, preferably payer or provider space

Additional Information

Vaccination Policy

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
