The Accountant / Office Manager will be part of the finance team reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance and President of Tru-D, working closely with the sales and operations teams. This is a hands on position, requiring a self-motivated individual, who has well developed skills in accounting, financial analysis, and operations process, can thrive in rapid change environment, work effectively within cross-functional teams, and support operational teams to deliver strong results, and have a passion for operational excellence, and possess a strong set of communication and analytical skills.


+ Prepare preliminary financial flash, produce M/E sales reports, review and explain significant budget variances.

+ Perform month end closing activities, analyze monthly financial results and collaborate with the functional teams to address variances

+ Maintain all shipping, receiving, order entry and shop order transaction activity.

+ Liaison new customer set up with Accounts Receivable and assist in collections of past due accounts.

+ Oversee proper treatment of sales & use tax related to customer activity including the validation of exemption and resale certificates.

+ Conduct detailed inventory account analysis to support setting inventory targets.

+ Manage annual physical inventory and cycle count process including prep work, actual physical count, and provide data inquiry of outside auditor.

+ Lead aspects of annual budgeting process by working directly with team members to formulate the operating plan.

+ Analyzing operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.

+ Maintain internal controls consistent with corporate policies and good business practices.

+ Provide oversight and auditing of operational accuracy throughout the year.

+ Provide financial administrative support to the organization.

+ Help identify and quantify savings surfaced by continuous improvement.


+ Supporting operational teams to achieve cost savings goals

+ Successfully transact all operations transactions timely to achieve financial goals.

+ Useful and easy to interpret operational financial reports

+ Successfully managing inventory targets and annual inventory physical process

+ Managing annual budget process

+ Feedback from other departments



+ Bachelor’s Degree Accounting/Finance

+ Master degree desirable, and CMA preferred


+ Good understanding of General Accounting and Cost Accounting principles and Operational transactions

+ Experience with TM1 and ERP systems.

+ Experience with AS400 BPCS software a plus


+ 3 – 5 years related business experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Must have understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and product costing.


+ Must be hands on self-starter with attention to detail, and solid analytical and problem solving skills

+ Solid written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels in the company

+ Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness of analysis reports and complete work in timely manner

+ Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows based databases. Advanced proficiency with Excel preferred
