Purpose and Essential Duties

The Junior Utility Analyst maintains, analyzes, and reports on utility data on a large scale to evaluate cost and consumption as well as measure savings related to energy efficiency and procurement options.

Specific responsibilities include:

+ Assist in the maintenance of client’s facility and utility data in a database.

+ Assist in the review of utility invoices for errors and in disputing errors with the utility on behalf of the Client.

+ Assist in the maintenance of EPA Energy Star Client accounts.

+ Conduct energy benchmarking work for a portfolio of buildings.

+ Perform the assigned duties with supervision, while working in a team problem-solving environment.

+ Upholds BTME’s owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values.

+ Other duties as assigned/required.

This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Director of Measurement &Validation. Travel Requirements

+ Infrequent travel to Company or client locations. Approximately 5% of the time will be spent traveling.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

+ Associate’s degree or working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Business, Economics, or a related field or related work experience.

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.

+ Analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

+ Experience with database queries.

+ Experience with VBA.

+ Experience with energy efficiency programs.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

+ Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

+ Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
