Role Summary
Cox Media is seeking a  Senior  Data Analyst  to join the Cox Media inventory and pricing team  .  This position will play an integral part in creating and maintaining an enterprise-wide high-profile events management system generating $40M+ in annual revenue. Data analysis and tracking tool will provide visibility into orders, pricing, and packaging, allowing Sales to be more strategic about packaging and pricing for their clients.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Assisting with enterprise strategy for high profile series reporting and analysis. Strategy is based on numerous factors that include national ratings performance. Enterprise strategy also encompasses staying current with programming announcements from the Networks through various resources and Industry trades.

Identifying (based on research and projections), future Cable Sports Schedules and High-profile Cable Series into Cox Media's Enterprise-wide Avails Grid (Client Reservation system for high profile programming)

Monitoring and maintenance of Cox Media's Enterprise-wide Avails Grid, verifying future air dates and start/end times for all enterprise-wide gridded high-profile events (using numerous sources), and making all necessary edits/updates to the events as needed. Advising Cox Media's local Inventory Teams of all date/time changes and/or event cancelations made to gridded programming.

Communicating with third-party vendors for Cox's Avails Grid and Cox's Inventory & Pricing Management System. These communications could pertain to any issues/bugs that may arise, and collaboration on future system enhancements.

Managing and prioritizing future enhancements needed for Cox's Avails Grid and Cox's Inventory & Pricing Management System

Assisting with the Avails Grid Management Console which includes managing Cox Media's high profile event Categories and Program Series' standardized naming conventions

Maintaining user IDs/Profiles for Cox Media's Inventory & Pricing Management System and Avails Grid

Maintaining future state "Mapping" document for Cox's Inventory & Pricing Management System and Avails Grid, which includes the maintenance of all Cox Zones and Cox Inventory Types.

Partnering with Cox's local markets and Inventory teams with any questions and training needs.

Serving as a Subject Matter Expert on Cox Media's Enterprise-wide Avails Grid (Client Reservation system for high profile programming).
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum

8 years of experience in a related field or
o 4 years of experience in a related field with a BS/BA degree in a related discipline or
o 2 years of experience in a related field with a MS/MA degree in a related discipline; or Ph.D. in a related discipline

Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and project management skills required to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Ability to present complex ideas across multiple teams

Solid quantitative and data analysis skills

Strong attention to detail
Preferred

Media experience preferred

Knowledge of Media Inventory & Pricing practices desired

3 or more years of experience participating in cross functional projects preferred
