We are currently seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our team of talented employees! Role Description The Sr. Cost Accountant is responsible for various general, cost accounting and financial planning responsibilities. Principal Accountabilities:

+ Cost products

+ Reconcile and report inventory

+ Analyze and report material usage and purchase variances

+ Prepare month-end journal entries and financial statements

+ Reconcile general ledger accounts

+ Maintain CIP and capital assets

+ Participate in preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts

+ Special projects, particularly in the area of ERP improvements or implementations

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements: Experience and Education:

+ Must have prior experience in general and standard cost accounting

+ B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or related field of study required

+ CPA or MBA preferred, but not required

+ Must have good knowledge of GAAP

+ Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, consolidations reporting etc.)

+ Must be proficient with Microsoft products including Excel and Word

+ Must be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Interpersonal Skills:

+ Able to work openly with members of other departments and accounting team

+ Good communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

+ Must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively

+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

+ “Self-starter” who can work independently with minimal direct supervision

+ Well organized and detail oriented
