Purpose and Essential Duties
+ Unload material and assist with staging materials
+ Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
+ Assemble and install valves and fittings pipe, valves, and fittings in a Plumbing and HVAC system
+ Install underground storm, sanitary, natural gas, and domestic water piping systems
+ Install plumbing fixtures, sinks, tubs and toilets
+ Install water heaters and HVAC equipment
+ Install mechanical equipment and pre-fabricated pipe systems?
This position is Full Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Plumbing Foreman.
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
+ Minimum of 6 months experience in any type of plumbing and mechanical piping installation on commercial projects.
+ Must have own hand tools, company supplies power tools.
+ Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.
+ Comfortable with heights.
+ Ability to read tape measure
Preferred Education, Experience and Qualifications
+ OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred
+ Field measuring and Hanger layout
+ Ability to read and interpret Field and Shop Drawings
+ Infrequent travel to Company or client locations. Approximately 10% of time will be spent traveling.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
+ Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist. Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving equipment safely.
