To do these tasks well, CNA’s should possess dependability, compassion, empathy, patience and good communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as, within a team. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or GED required. Must have a general knowledge of medical terms, adequate spelling skills and legible handwriting skills. Certification: Active Missouri Nurse Assistant basic certification acceptable to the Missouri Department of Health & Senior services, and Bureau of Home Health Licensing. Experience: One year’s experience in a health care institution is preferred. Life experiences may qualify individual to take approved Competency Exam-written and skills checklist. Experience as Bath care aide. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Certified Nurse Assistant may only perform those tasks in which he/she has demonstrated competence as determined by the R.N. or P.T.
+ Reports changes in the patient’s condition and needs to primary care R.N. as needed.
+ Provides only those services as outlined on the Aide Assignment Sheet. Providing all services in a safe manner.
+ Identifies those areas that are to be checked off on the specialized procedures checklist and notifies the R.N. to assess her competency prior to performing the task.
+ Submits clinical notes daily and other documentation in a timely manner via electronic medical record.
+ Prepare Admission Charts and file field charts if requested.
+ Achieves satisfactory productivity measure of 25 visits a week/100 per 4 weeks.
+ Assists other programs as available and completing documentation promptly and timely.
+ May be required to be on call or work some weekends.
