Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian for Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) located in Pine Bluff, AR .

This position will provide nutrition assessments and develop nutritional care plans for patients, identify and treat patients at nutritional risk, monitor patients on modified diets, nutrition support, and supplemental feedings. The Dietitian will also consult with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary staff, and members of the Nutritional Service Department to coordinate all phases of a patient’s nutritional care.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

+ Have at least 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting,

+ Perform nutrition assessments on adult patients including those on nutrition support (cardiac & med/surg)

+ Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;

+ Have experience with the nutrition care process and electronic health record charting

+ Have experience with Nutrition Focused Physical Exams

+ Work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff

+ Work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently

+ Participate in performance improvement projects

+ Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns

+ Have a strong desire to continue learning and advancing skills

+ Have good time management and communication skills

The successful candidate will:

+ Be a Registered Dietitian or meet eligibility requirements for a registered dietitian

+ Must be licensed or have a provisional license in Arkansas before start date;

+ Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills;

+ Provide exceptional nutritional care and customer service to all patients and visitors.

Jefferson Regional Medical Center is licensed for 415 beds and has an average census of 150. The hospital has an excellent administration that provides support and a great culture! JRMC offers inpatient rehab, transitional care, intensive care, oncology, renal, and a wide variety of other units. The campus is bright, friendly, and offers a nice cafeteria and (2) wellness centers.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services

Key Duties

-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.

-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.

-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.

-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.

-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

-Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
