Job Description

As a Sr. Marketing Manager of Private Label Brand Strategy, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of marketing and brand development plans for the AutoZone private label brand portfolio. Reporting to the Marketing Director, Brand Strategy and Creative, you will partner with cross-functional teams, interpret business analytics and customer insights, and assess the competitive landscape to develop marketing strategies addressing growth opportunities and developing differentiated, meaningful brands on behalf of AutoZone .

You will be responsible for the overall project management of all AutoZone Private Label Brand projects and key omnichannel initiatives with internal and external teams – maintaining deadlines, escalating issues to the Director appropriately, communicating status and needs clearly across teams, and ensuring marketing strategies and communication support the company’s business goals, meet all legal requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. In this role, you will help develop the annual marketing plan and have direct visibility to top leadership. Additionally, you will have direct interaction with Marketing and E-Commerce Vice Presidents and Senior Vice President. This individual may at times also lead large-scale presentations. Responsibilities:

+ Leveraging marketing analytics, sales data, competitive audits, and customer insights to strategically manage our private brand portfolio – drawing clear, actionable conclusions to support the brand(s) and/or category(ies)

+ Serving as subject matter expert in the brand/brands, assisting the Marketing Director in building individual brand strategies and ongoing brand oversight of AutoZone private label brands architecture and standards

+ Partnering with internal stakeholders and external agencies to identify and develop key brand attributes for new private label brands, to include, name, logo, design system

+ Developing creative briefs for initiatives and/or campaigns to inform business and communication objectives, brand positioning, requirements, and timeline/budget expectations

+ Conducting regular, strategic meetings with cross-functional executive team to provide updates on key private label brand initiatives -consolidating, interpreting and communicating comments from executive leadership to Merchandising and Marketing stakeholders

+ Keeping cross-team Private Label Brand projects on schedule, while prioritizing and escalating as needed

+ Working closely with the Creative and Merchandising teams to evolve and maintain private label brand standards

+ Supporting Creative, Brand, Digital Experience and Merchandising teams to develop digital content and in-store signage to ensure all touchpoints align to the overall brand positioning for each private label brand

+ Ensuring consistency in voice and visual creative throughout all communication touchpoints

Requirements:

+ BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or other

+ 8+ Years’ experience in marketing and/or advertising with a National Retailer, CPG company OR ad agency

+ Experience demonstrating an understanding of consumer research and customer analytics for marketing communications and Brand strategy

+ Prior experience with private label and/or product, including brand development, consumer validation and packaging and go-to-market communication development

+ Leadership experience including the ability to supervise, train, coach and evaluate team’s performance

+ Strong organizational and project management skills

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional presentation skills

+ Ability to t hrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ Talented in problem-solving and understanding of business priorities

+ Proficient in the use of MS Office product suite – specifically Excel and PowerPoint

+ Experience interacting with top-level leadership

+ Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, including experience with SQL, Tableau and/or Excel
