Analyzes large quantities of data and develops reports on the overall performance of business segments; develops metrics to measure various characteristics of the business | Combines a good level of understanding on how business operates with analytical ability to sift effectively through data available, overlaying all this with the technical competency to illustrate this analysis to senior level stakeholders and the wider business | Models advanced methods of combining charts, maps, timelines and infographics into comprehensible dashboards; may create visualizations of complex relationships and big data sets in a user-friendly and easy-to-understand way to facilitate business decision making
+ Develop and maintain key performance metrics that track refinery attainment of planned operational targets and optimal margin capture.
+ In conjunction with corporate economics and planning team, develop monthly refinery run plan (unit rates, etc)
+ Identify process constraints and identify opportunities to relieve these constraints.
+ Work with external teams (Delek and non-Delek) on movement of refinery products for normal and upset modes of operation
+ Provide economic justification for key business decisions in the refinery
+ Publish lost profit opportunity report
+ Publish blend giveaway reports.
+ Work with operations and Technical Services to analyze opportunities to enhance refinery profitability.
+ Support maintaining site Solomon benchmarking metrics to guide refinery performance
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 2 years of refinery experience with exposure to complex wide optimization.
Exposure to gasoline blending, scheduling and product movement is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or refinery economics or equivalent experience..
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Mostly indoors with occasional field visits
