This will be a Product Owner so somewhat mid-level. This person will be in the “Workday” realm, but “Workday” experience in not a must but a nice to have. Some form of Product Ownership experience is a must and someone who can easily manage multiple tasks and delegate tasks. Good communication and presentation skills are a must. Their PO roles start you down the leadership paths so someone that has that leadership mentality. Someone that has experience and exposure to SDLC, but not necessarily from a technical background . For example, like someone who has managed projects in an IT environment, but not necessarily come from a Developer background . Systems and Business analysts aren’t really a fit, too analytical. Needs someone with high EQ, can navigate difficult conversations. Coming up with business goals and understand how to translate those into something that can be executed.
Under general supervision, this position acts as the representative of stakeholders to manage product backlogs and review iteration outcomes to ensure the business success of product development. Owns the least complex products and works with a more experienced professional who supports them in building the product, making sure the client’s needs are met.
• Assists in discussing and determining product backlogs for each iteration, and reviewing the outputs of all sprints, to make sure they are in alignment with the product requirements
• Provides inputs for applications technical designs and data models
• Follows standard principles to write, discuss and add user stories to product backlogs; prioritizing product backlogs by business values, level of effort and dependencies
• Works closely with the development team, to ensure the right things to be focused on and completed during the development process
• Assists in defining and conveying the vision of what is to be built for the development team, to address client requirements and ensure successful product for business objectives
Bachelors degree in Business, Computer and Information Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 1 year of experience acting as a Product Owner and/or certification in Agile fundamentals.
Knowledge of Agile process and principles
Knows and embodies Scrum values
Understands Product Owner involvement in Scrum events
Experience drafting and elaborating backlog items.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Workday experience is a nice to have. Technical background is a plus, not a must. Must understand SDLC though.
They would prefer someone onsite, but are open to fully remote for the right person.
