The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers.
+ Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations
+ May prepare plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
+ Responsibilities are limited in scope
+ Follow standard practices/procedures in analyzing situations or data
+ Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
+ Involved in implementing lean manufacturing tools on the production floor. Perform time studies, calculate tact time vs cycle time, and develop basic manufacturing flow and capacity plans.
+ Design and optimize manufacturing/warehouse incorporating material flow and headcount allocation.
+ Develop integrated solutions that may include warehouse layout, flow of processes, labor requirements, and storage systems.
+ Balance processes to maximize efficiency.
+ Support production startup and ramp up.
+ Proven track record of leading successful continuous improvement projects.
Job Responsibilities Part II
+ Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
+ Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics
