Background & Purpose of the Job: The Data Architect role is responsible for data processing, prep aration , and delivery of multiple data sets to several internal databases along with delivering sophisticated analytics and research for collaboration with the world’s largest retailer . Unilever believes that data availability and accuracy is one of the great unlocks for growth. Along with this we need to use data in new and interesting ways to develop our teams for tomorrow’s ambitions. You’ll also be responsible for the weekly validation of data to ensure accurate and on-time reporting to the sector. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 year s of experience working with the MS Azure platform + components and is continually able to stay up to date with the latest technology. They must also have a working knowledge of various statistical models and their application within a CPG retailing framework and have the ability to explain brilliantly the se methods and results to demysti fy the process to internal and external stakeholders. + You’re a storyteller : You will have access to one of the industry’s most-robust data sources to turn insights into action by providing differentiated thought leadership delivered through simplified stories , to gain acceptance and adoption of category strategies.

+ You’re a strategy specialist: You’ll integrate multiple sources of insight to define where to play and how to win over the short and long term. ? You’re able to develop plans for execution and engagement with appropriate customer contact points, timing, & content based on industry research and Unilever knowledge

+ You’re a visionary: Figuring out problems with limited direction doesn’t faze you. You have the intuition to anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting to develop and translate insight into retail action

+ You’re a dot connector: You will penetrate multiple cross-functional teams and the customer to define priorities, objectives, and successfully influence action plans, specific to Walmart’s business plans.

+ You’re an innovator: You have a healthy dissatisfaction for the status quo and through access to cutting edge capabilities and tools, you will set a constant eye on the future to garner insights and develop solutions that drive incremental growth for Walmart and Unilever.

+ Transform and analyz e large volumes of data, combining customer and consumer data , as well as many other 3P data sources

+ Create and maintain data pipelines to deliver highly accurate and complete data sets on a weekly and /or daily basis

+ Deliver actionable insights to help decision making via visual reporting platforms in collaboration with the sector’s many cross-functional teams

+ Management of the data flow and architecture for data delivery as it relates to the sector’s business reporting needs

+ Developing the skills and talent to stay ahead of the competition providing value and consistency to the customer over time

+ Helping lead change management for team

?What You’ll Need to Succeed:

+ Bachelor’s Degree required (MS preferred)

+ Ability to analyze large and complex data sets with proven experience in delivering recommendations to senior stakeholders

+ Experience building , maintaining, improving data flows and database connectivity for the team

+ Strong background in skills in the likes of Python, Spark, SQL or similar software and languages

+ Data driven with a strong commercial acumen

+ Strong communication skills

+ Understanding of retail & shopping landscape and experience working directly with customers
