The Manager has a direct reporting relationship to the VP of Finance and is responsible for preparing, analyzing and presenting financial information to support operational and strategic decision making for the NWA community.
Manages the day-to-day processes within the Finance department to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all projects, including processes to monitor and improve internal controls.
Manager is responsible for recommending work simplification to ensure coordination and eliminate unnecessary or duplication of efforts within the areas of responsibility in both the clinic and hospital.
Must be able to work well with other finance professionals and administrative leaders. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Requires a minimum of five years accounting or financial management experience in healthcare. Understands both hospital and clinic operations.
1. Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
2. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
3. Strong communication skills, ability to interact with departmental leaders.
4. Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
5. Knowledge of proper financial statement formats and disclosures required under GAAP.
6. Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Preferred Licensure: CPA preferred.
1. Healthcare financial reporting and analysis experience.
2. Experience in hospital and ambulatory clinics
