CarePlus is seeking a Nursing Educator 2 who will plan, direct, coordinate, evaluate, develop, and/or deliver training and education programs for professional nursing personnel. The Nursing Educator 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Nursing Educator 2 develops educational goals and plans for new associate orientation, ongoing training, and professional development. Training programs may include, but not be limited to, Care Management, Utilization Management, and/or Compliance.
+ Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
+ Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
+ Follows established guidelines/procedures.
+ Unrestricted RN license in the state of Florida.
+ Three (3) years of utilization management experience specifically in precertification of inpatient and/or outpatient authorizations.
+ Intermediate to advance experience in Microsoft Office products specifically in Outlook and PowerPoint.
+ Prior work experience with designing training, learning modules and/or materials to increase content conceptualization.
+ Adept in using technology and facilitation techniques to influence the content knowledge and development of learners through virtual settings.
+ Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
+ Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
+ A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
+ Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
+ A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
+ Prior experience using MCG or Interqual.
+ Experience in Microsoft Visio, OneNote and Project.
+ Experience with managing processes and projects.
+ Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification.
+ Travel: up to 20% outside the state of residence.
+ Typical Workdays/Hours: Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)
