Facility Enviornmental Manager- Fordyce, AR
The Environmental Manager will perform environmental compliance work at multiple levels in support of the Plant and Corporate Environmental Programs at the Oriented Strand Board Plant in Fordyce, Arkansas. The individual will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the facility's environmental compliance programs and systems. This position will assist in ensuring facility compliance with governmental regulations, such as state and federal regulations, Title V air permit, storm water, wastewater, hazardous waste and to company policies and procedures such as Georgia-Pacific's Environmental Compliance Standards. What You Will Do In Your Role

Technical Expert and Compliance Standard Owner
Direct others and assist in compliance of Federal (EPA) and State (SCDHEC) environmental program requirements including but not limited to air, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste, CERCLA/EPCRA, and FCC.
Assist plant manager in the development and the implementation of the corporate environmental management system (7-Element RMS), as well as integration of the environmental system into the plant's overall OpEx Plan
Participate in incident investigation, mitigation, root cause analysis and corrective action
Prepare and submit compliance reports as required by regulatory agencies
Stay current with new ideas, engineering and techniques in the environmental field
Represent facility during agency inspections
Support site project managers regarding technical and regulatory environmental issues, including contractor management and change management
Work closely with the Regional Environmental Manager and/or Business Environmental Manager for guidance and direction on all environment matters
Knowledge share with Environmental Coordinators and Engineers from other GP Building Products facilities
Actively practice MBM and foster the use of MBM guiding principles at site
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of management and plant personnel
Develop and deliver training presentations to groups of management and plant personnel
Liaison between plant personnel and testing contractors and others for compliance testing projects
Analytical, written and verbal communication skills
Effectively interface with all levels of plant personnel
Work with teams and with a diverse group of people
The Experience You Will BringRequirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Environmental System Engineering
At least 5 years of environmental experience, with direct involvement in all aspects of a Title V Air Permit program in an industrial/manufacturing setting OR a current Georgia Pacific Environmental Associate in the ELP Program
Willingness to work in an industrial environment of vastly varying ambient temperatures from hot to cold
Range of motion sufficient to permit climbing stairs and ladders, walking, standing, stooping and crouching for extended periods of time What Will Put You Ahead

Basic or advanced engineering degree with a core curriculum in environmental
Good organization and time utilization skills
Experience with compliance related to Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) rules
Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft programs, proficient in Excel
Two years of successful environmental compliance and management systems experience
Method 9 Opacity certification (smoke school), or able to acquire certification
Willingness to conduct environmental parameter sampling on a monthly basis
Strong technical skills in understanding emissions calculations, emissions factors and how they are applied to calculate emissions
Ability to prepare and implement key management system/controls, such as Permits, Plans, License & Registration; Written Representation Tables; Statement of Basis; Declaration of Negative Applicability; and Compliance Calendars
