This position is intended to provide administrative and analytical support to the HR Director and Plant as a whole. The successful candidate is a results-driven individual, able to multi-task effectively while demonstrating initiative and will present a strong focus on fostering positive relationships among the employees while ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations. Candidate should have minimum of 3 years progressive experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years preferred. It is highly desirable that the candidate has experience working in both a manufacturing and a union environment. Principal Accountabilities:
+ Creating, analyzing, and presenting data for budgeting, accounting and staffing purposes.
+ Management of the employee experience including recruiting, on-boarding, issue resolution, and separation administration.
+ Management of temporary staffing vendors and workforce.
+ Training input and tracking into learning management system.
+ Administration of leave program.
+ Administration of worker’s compensation program.
+ Creation and administration of reports such as headcount, master list, and monthly reports.
+ Assistance with labor relations as a member of E-board and the creation and awarding of job bids.
+ Backup for payroll processing and resolution to payroll-related questions.
+ Administration of benefits programs, including orientation, claims resolution, benefit questions, open enrollment rollout, etc.
+ Administration of compensation program.
+ Tracking and reporting of overtime.
+ Federal reporting & unemployment claims resolution.
+ Employee relations, training and coaching.
+ Develop and deliver employee engagement events.
+ Working as liaison and presenting a professional image of the company to auditors, government agencies, contractors, customers, and the local community.
+ Updating company’s job descriptions, employee manuals, and policies and procedures.
+ Participate in special projects as assigned.
+ Other duties as required.Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Knowledge of and experience with TN and Federal employment laws
+ Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including EEOA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, NLRA, etc.
+ Capability of utilizing Excel at an advanced level, including experience in downloading data into Excel files for further manipulation and processing
+ Experience with a variety of different computer systems, with experience in data entry, data analysis and report writing capability and formatting for professional presentation purposes, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
+ Self-starter mentality with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision while demonstrating advanced initiative
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
+ Excellent work/time organizational skills, as well as analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Experience with payroll and HRIS software, preferably ADP
+ Minimum five (3) years progressive experience in the field of Human Resources
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field required
+ Experience in Bargaining Unit environment preferred
+ Must have strong PC skills in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with applicant tracking and payroll systems, ADP preferred.
