The Inventory and Purchasing Specialist is a multi-faceted role that provides support to the business and in particular, our Field Technicians – by making sure Parts are in stock and optimally maintained. Position requires ability to multi-task and utilize various technologies and systems to insure work is completed to standard.
Job Responsibilities
General:
+ Responsible for managing and executing inventory control activities to ensure that the inventory is accurate and up to date by following all company procedures.
+ Serve as the liaison between suppliers and Best Beverage
+ Ensure compliance with company-wide purchasing policies
+ Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers
+ Negotiate with suppliers for the best possible prices and services
+ Maintain effective use of storage space to accommodate efficient inventory operations
+ Evaluate and manage supplier compliance documents, i.e. terms and conditions, supplier registration, certificates, etc.
+ Create, update, and maintain supplier information and pricing
+ Act as the primary contact for current and potential suppliers; resolve supplier and customer issues as needed
+ Generate and track purchase orders with vendors
+ Receive, monitor and report inventory materials shipments from suppliers and levels
+ Work closely with the Accounting Specialist to maintain accurate inventory balance
+ Work with suppliers to track and return defective product
+ Shipping and Receiving Company products in an accurate and timely manner
+ Stock product in the warehouse
+ Ordering products and managing warehouse inventories to acceptable levels
Qualifications
+ Associates Degree preferred.
+ 3-5 years of work experience preferred.
+ MS Office Experience with proficiency in Excel required.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Excellent customer service and administrative skills required.
+ Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with others.
+ Ability to multi-task and use technology.
+ Exceptional organizational and warehouse logistics skills
+ At least one year of warehouse and forklift experience preferred (order picker experience also a plus!)
+ Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
