The primary function of the Manager, Risk Services is the management of supplier services. Input and assistance with the Risk Analysis Program, Hazmat, and the insurance functions of the organization will also be included. This position will recognize industry risk trends and create strategies/action plans to minimize the overall risk to the organization while balancing the growth needs of the company.
A highly effective Manager, Risk Services has a broad knowledge of the logistics industry and can leverage their knowledge and experience to effectively support a team focused on quality assurance. The Manager is responsible for supervising the Supplier Services team on a daily basis with assisting other Risk Services Managers and their team members as needed to deliver results in the form of growing the Company's relationships with its partners.
Lead individual, team, and organizational risk management efforts necessary to achieve departmental goals.
Administer provider vetting, contract review, complaints, - claims on behalf of the company and its customers.
Monitor and follow up on supplier services and risk reports from internal systems as well as external reports and information to identify trends in cause of loss, locations of loss, types of loss, and losses by carrier and develop processes and plans to address issues.
Monitor all provider information onboarding sites and internal systems for accuracy.
Develop and distribute weekly and monthly reports for management.
Working closely with providers, insurance brokers, agents, attorneys, and loss adjusters regarding claims.
Develop metrics to track department progress and provide reporting.
Provide training and support as needed internally.
Assisting with customer complaints and appeals.
Taking responsibility for the department's productivity and targets.
Maintaining quality and customer service standards.
Train, guide and assist all Supplier Services Specialists with daily duties.
Handling of customer complaints and appeals related to providers.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
Equivalent to a four year college degree preferred, plus 5 years related experience and/or training
4+ years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Accredited insurance license preferred (Adjuster, Producer, Certified Claims Professional, etc.)
