This role will provide support in the delivery of due diligence and real estate analysis for CMBS, agency multifamily, securitization and other commercial real estate loan underwriting and debt consulting services. Additionally, this role will provide loan surveillance support to client(s) by monitoring and reporting on property level cash flows, rent rolls, market conditions and property valuations for a nationwide portfolio of loans across all types of commercial real estate property types, including construction loans. This role manages multiple transactions with multiple clients under tight timelines.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Conduct asset surveillance commercial real estate loans, both performing and non-performing, to include the completion of financial statement spreading, quarterly asset reviews, annual reviews, risk rating reviews and any additional review or analysis that may need to be completed in conjunction with the asset management of the loan

+ Ensure timely and accurate completion of all surveillance assignments

+ Perform all aspects of the due diligence and underwriting for loans including analyzing property level data and guarantor financial statements, and reviewing and approving appraisals, property condition assessments and environmental reports

+ Perform site inspections, determine appropriate market comparables for property valuation and asset summary report, and complete tenant analyses

+ Identify risks and potential mitigants for property related issues

+ Research, analyze and summarize market and submarket information including inventory, absorption, new/proposed development, and rent and vacancy trends

+ Prepare cash flow underwriting and credit approval memoranda to be used by client for their internal credit approval process

+ Independently manage interactions and assignments directly with Clients

+ Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree with preferred fields of study that include Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Business

+ 3-7 years’ experience in real estate related or financial services industry, such as appraisal, brokerage, or banking primarily focused on commercial properties

+ Minimum 3-5 years’ experience underwriting CMBS or CRE balance sheet loans

+ Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate, due diligence process, commercial lending policies, securitization and credit and risk management policies

+ Full understanding of property sectors (office, retail, industrial, hotel, multifamily) and their different investment characteristics within commercial real estate and capital markets finance transactions

+ Proficient in Argus

+ Excellent Excel and cash flow modeling skills

+ Strong business writing skills

Special Requirements:

+ The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment

Working Conditions:

+ Office environment with frequent computer, mouse, keyboard use

+ Alternating between sitting or standing as needed

+ Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping

The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. All full-time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including 401K, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
