Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in Civil Engineering or related.

Requires skills and experience in the following: Structural Design: Design and Analysis of Prestressed concrete & Steel systems for integral, semi integral and expansion bridges; Seismic Design: Single and multimodal analysis and design of bridge structures; Programs: Bentley Staad pro, Bentley Leap Concrete, Bentley Leap Steel, Bentley RAM elements, MIDAS, and Lpile; Hydraulics: Performing analysis, design, calculations and reports; Modelling bridges and other hydraulic structures in HEC-RAS computer program, which includes bridge scour analysis; Preparing drawings and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation; Preparing cost estimates for bridges and culverts and performing calculations for quantity takeoff of concrete and steel bridges; and Familiarity with AISC, AASHTO, and state specific specifications. Requires a Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Job duties : Design of Bridges - Superstructure - Responsible for modeling, design and analysis of curved and superelevated Multi Span Continuous Steel, Slab beam and AASHTO Prestressed concrete structures. Substructure - Design and analysis of integral and semi-integral abutments, concrete filled steel shell pipe piles and concrete column structures, including seismic design with single and multi-mode analysis. Work comprises accelerated bridge construction (ABC) design. Design of Concrete Box Culverts - Analysis and design for non-standard skewed culverts for various fill heights and cells. Hydraulics - Modeling and analysis of proposed bridge structures to check all the hydraulic criteria as per State requirements. Local pier, abutment and contraction scour design and analysis. Misc. - Elastomer bearing and pad design, Anchor bolt design, Quantity estimation and inspection. Conceptual work plan for existing bridge demos using MicroStation 3D and Inroads. Perform structural and seismic analysis to determine the structural behavior focusing bridges and culverts. Perform bridge design related to roadway construction according to AASHTO and department of transportation. Involved in creating conceptual work plans for bridges and culverts with the help of Inroads, Hec-Ras and Microstation.
