Job Description

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Education seeks a qualified instructor to teach, observe, mentor, and advise students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should be committed to collegiality, scholarly work, and continuous improvement. A&M-Texarkana is committed to building a diverse faculty and encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented populations.

Required Qualifications:

+ Earned terminal degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or closely related fields.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of K-12 teaching experience.

+ Hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Texas teaching and mid-management certificates.

+ Demonstrates knowledge of DEI/Cultural Competence.

+ Evidence of teaching accomplishment in K-12 setting.

+ Evidence of leadership in the K-12 setting.

+ Interest in and commitment to experiential learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience teaching online in higher education.

+ Experience in practice-based teacher education.

+ Experience in equity-minded instructional practices.

+ Evidence of scholarship including presentations, publications, program evaluations, and grants.
