Job Description

We are seeking a Network Engineer II to join our team supporting the Red River Army Deport, Directorate for Information Management (RRAD-DFIM) at Texarkana, Texas.

RRAD-DFIM is an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-based organization that provides Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) support to business centers located on Red River Army Depot (RRAD). The RRAD-DFIM consists of three Divisions; the Integrated Technology Division, the Information Systems Division, and the Information Assurance Division. RRAD’s Unclassified Network (NIPRNET) serves RRAD’s 15,000 acre campus, with over 300 buildings, approximately 2,500 users, and approximately 2,115 active workstations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Supports the maintenance of vehicle mounted and handheld Motorola Land-Mobile Radios.

+ Configure radios, Install radio sets and components into Government owned vehicles; Repair radio handsets and equipment; troubleshoot radio problems and assist users with technical inquiries.

+ Resolve Network Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model Layer 1 and 2 trouble tickets.

+ Installs, Test and troubleshoots various types of communication cables to include CAT6 and fiber optic cables.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor’s Degree with 5 + Years of Information Technology Experience, or an Associates Degree with 7 + Years of Information Technology Experience.

+ Secret Clearance

+ Active IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ CE) certification

+ Experience managing and repairing Motorola-based radio systems.
