POSITION SUMMARY View, Inc is seeking a Production Manager for its manufacturing facility in Olive Branch, MS. The successful candidate will manage the (Department Area) team and establish manufacturing operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing manufacturing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems and implementing change. Our Production Managers are responsible for ensuring the safety, development & growth of their teams while continuously improving production efficiency by ensuring that all production activities are carried out safely and effectively and in a streamlined manner. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Proactively address safety issues, owning your area and deploying data driven improvements to minimize risk.

+ Own and enforce a safe working environment, adhere to compliance of safety policies and practices and legal regulations, supervise daily housekeeping of assigned area, and adhere to plant policies.

+ Ensure 5S is implemented and sustained.

+ Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of production while ensuring daily operation goals.

+ Providing a regular presence on the production floor to confirm internal and external customer requirements are being achieved.

+ Constant analysis of methods and manufacturing processes for improvement, simplification, revision, cost reduction and utilizing Kaizen

+ Investigate change methods, layout revision, and cost reduction recommendations.

+ Develop and initiate means of measuring indirect labor and other non-repetitive work

+ Develop and design jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing processes.

+ Understanding of critical production machinery/parameters and its effect on quality to make timely decisions.

+ Investigate and evaluate designated manufacturing problems, determine most suitable courses of action to remedy conditions and make recommendations to the engineering manager or supporting teams.

+ Instruct and receive feedback from manufacturing management and hourly employees by utilizing the application of industrial engineering programs

+ Support a hands-on approach (Gemba) to go, observe, and understand problems to best support colleagues and solutions.

+ Continually coach, monitor and review performance of direct reports. Develop goals with direct reports and follow up to ensure company goals are met.

+ Support and coach colleagues in critical, independent thinking and root cause analysis to empower them to challenge, improve and standardize processes. Get each supervisor and staff member to take initiative to solve problems and make improvements

+ Understand, communicate, and drive results consistent with company goals and strategic plan.

+ Develop and encourage effective working relationships within the department and functional support groups to ensure timely communication and proper operational execution.

+ Motivate team members to participate in projects and meet key deliverables.

+ Build a team to support the area and equipment in optimal operating conditions through implementation of a preventative maintenance system.

+ Facilitate positive partnerships amongst support departments to enhance business processes and remove roadblocks.

+ Work with the department to apply lean methodologies in all areas to reduce or eliminate NVA (non-value added) tasks and to reduce any form of waste.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

+ Less than 5 years of experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing field

+ Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills

+ Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Understand of a wide range of engineering methods and processes.

+ Ability to influence and communicate with all levels of the company

+ Strong project management skills

EDUCATION

+ Bachelor’s Degree in I ndustrial and/or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
