POSITION SUMMARY Working under the Director of Supply Chain; the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing the procedures and processes involved within the purchasing cycle and ensuring this cycle is executed to meet the business plans of the company. Working through established supplier relationships as well as sourcing new relationships, this position will handle purchasing duties required to support manufacturing and pick pack operations. The qualified candidate will have the ability to provide leadership and guidance to others involved in purchasing functions. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Supply Chain team and will be responsible for supporting the operation through proactive day-to-day purchasing, financial transaction processing, analytical/financial analysis and forecasting support. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring all purchasing activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of the organization. Ensuring controls are in place that will provide timely and consistent review of pending purchase orders to ensure timely receipt and validation of confirmations. Minimizing delivery cost by working with departments and vendors to obtain acceptable delivery schedules. Engage in all aspects of vendor management, including negotiation of purchases, development of blanket or master supplier agreements, negotiation of favorable credit terms and credit limits Identify, qualify, and select qualified vendors of materials, equipment, products, or services, and conduct overall supplier management Development and preparation of quantitative and qualitative reports and statistics related to the purchasing function, including vendor and department performance Updating internal customers/colleagues as to the status of their orders, particularly if there are problems to be resolved. Resolving vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. Manage the maintenance of records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries. Supporting manufacturing activities by actively working cross-functionally across all departments to resolve, communicate and coordinate as needed. Developing and maintaining accounting controls, internal policies, procedures, and controls; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements. Completing accounting transactions by verifying and correcting transaction information. Performing additional responsibilities as required DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience with Oracle-oriented, high-volume manufacturing, preferably in a highly technical industry or logistics/distribution operations. Knowledge of standard accounting and accounts payable practices. Be a highly motivated, team-player with a positive attitude who is also excited about learning and working in a fast-paced, operation. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with exceptional attention to details. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet deadlines. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Must be competent in analyzing contracts, terms, and conditions, and understanding ramifications of contractual verbiage as it relates to the product, service, and supplier. Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize against time-sensitive deadlines Ability to manage and motivate colleagues in fast-paced, challenging times. Possess high flexibility with respect to job functions and working hours in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. EDUCATION B.S. degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain; or equivalent experience View, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer
