We have an immediate need for a Software Asset Management Specialist.
In this role you will be involved in the management of software, hardware and services acquisition, compliance, maintenance, life cycle planning and costing.
This position can be filled at any Aerojet Rocketdyne location, and flexwork or remote locations are a possibility.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
+ Monitor ServiceNow workflow queues for IT software requests
+ Update and manage ServiceNow (CMDB) records
+ Create purchasing requisitions, as required, to support asset acquisition and maintenance
+ Receive invoices, as required, in Oracle ERP system
+ Manage software and hardware renewals and licensing true-ups
+ Compare IT software and hardware requests against existing asset inventory to determine purchasing, harvesting and/or reallocation strategy
+ Produce, manage and maintain software, hardware, and services look-a-head for planning purposes
+ Analyze, and identify cost savings and/or supply base consolidation opportunities
+ Review non-standard / single / sole source business justifications to determine cost effectiveness and alignment with IT strategy
+ Conduct routine audits of ServiceNow (CMDB) to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and directives
+ Coordinate with third party vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met
+ Coordinate with IT and line-of-business functions to ensure the accurate and timely processing of software renewals
+ Coordinate with IT and line-of-business functions to ensure product upgrade and technology obsolescence requirements are met
+ Coordinate with supply chain and IT Finance to ensure the timely fulfillment of asset purchases
Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related technology field and at least two (2) years of experience in a professional Information Technology environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
