Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The Director of the Trojan Transition and Assistance Center (TTAC) is responsible for the operation of the TTAC Office which incorporates New Student Orientation, Student Transitions through census day, Information Services (Ask Desk), and additional outreach efforts to non-traditional students. The Director works directly with students, faculty, staff and university partners on matters pertaining to enrollment management, and transition services. This position will help supplement recruitment efforts to non-traditional students, orientation, and transitions through the student journey. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience
A minimum of two years of experience working in student services, student activity programming, or a related education field;
Experience working in New Student Orientation and/or customer service;
Experience working with a diverse population.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Experience in recruitment, admissions, and advising.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of student orientation programs, student activity programming, student leadership development, and classroom or workshop teaching experience;
Knowledge of campus and community resources and the ability to make appropriate referrals;
Superior written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse student population, UA Little Rock faculty, staff, and administration;
Ability to manage details accurately and superior organizational skills;
Ability to make sound judgments and assist in resolving student concerns;
Ability to make independent decisions considering input from appropriate sources and accept a feedback positively;
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and successfully complete projects and events;
Demonstrated basic accounting skills including the ability to develop and implement a budget;
Knowledge of state, federal, and university rules, regulations, and procedures;
Ability to utilize information technology effectively, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe, Photoshop, website management software, and student information systems;
