Summary of Job Duties:The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service is seeking a Director of Development to provide leadership in the areas of fundraising and development.

Working closely with the Clinton School Dean, the Director of Development will be tasked with cultivating and growing the school's development operation. The Director of Development will plan, manage, and strengthen donor and alumni relationships; execute the institutional mission as it relates to fundraising and donor growth; and work to create and maintain formal documentation of development policies and procedures.

The Director of Development will develop and execute fundraising strategy and identify and implement comprehensive fundraising initiatives that support UACS and its students. The Director of Development will oversee the implementation and administration of an institutional donor database, including reports and research necessary to address advancement needs. The Director of Development will construct the necessary lists, reports, and tracking tools to support fundraising efforts.

Additionally, the Director of Development will be a critical external figure for the school, serving not only as a fundraiser, but as a brand ambassador whose outreach will touch stakeholders and organizations at a local, regional, and national level. The efforts of this position will build on the unique mission and vision of the school and the public service legacy of President Bill Clinton.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

At least five years of fundraising experience, preferably in a college or university development office or in the nonprofit sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a strong communicator, specifically in the areas of writing, presenting, and public speaking

Must be able to show success in developing and executing clear and effective fundraising plans

Must have proven first-hand experience working with trustees and key existing donors, as well as cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding new donors

Salary Information:Commensurate with education and experience
