The Recruiter attracts, evaluates, and refers candidates for craft and trade, technical, exempt, and nonexempt positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms and other sourcing methods.

 


Responsibilities

 

Attracts, evaluates, and refers candidates for craft and trade, technical, exempt, and nonexempt positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms and other sourcing methods.
Understands requirements for technical positions, develops job advertisements and screens resumes/applications.
Contacts candidates to ascertain fit, and schedules interviews.
Extends offers and negotiates compensation.
Initiates onboarding plan for new hires.
Manages areas of responsibility to ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively.
Coordinates participation in career fairs at college and high school levels.
Administer social media accounts including postings and managing comments/remarks.
Administer employee referral bonus program.
Create and maintain accurate, up to date recruiting metric reporting for all levels of management.
Handles stress effectively and works well with others.

 


Minimum Qualifications

 

High School diploma or GED, plus 2 years of human resources recruiting experience.
Strong interpersonal skills: listening and communication.
Effective communication and influencing skills, both written and oral, with the ability to share information and ideas clearly and concisely with a range of audiences.
Capacity to develop and maintain strong professional relationships across the organization and to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Ability to use critical thinking skills to identify and determine alternative solutions/approaches.
Resourceful and able to work independently.
Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise discretion and tact.
Extremely detailed, analytical and accuracy oriented.
Strong technical aptitude.
Strong interpersonal skills as well as strategic and creative thinking and strong consultative skills.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field, plus at least 4 years of human resources recruiting.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.
