Currently, we are looking for a Field Sales Support Analyst to join the ArcBest team. The Field Sales Support Analyst develops and manages relationships with Field Account managers and their customers, as well as provides industry leading customer experience. This position provides superior analytical and inter-personal skills while working directly with multiple departments to increase our presence through service line expansion, while increasing ArcBest’s footprint as a single source provider of logistical solutions.

Your contribution may include:

  • Build relationships and directly communicate with customers and account managers to identify requirements and instill confidence in the company’s ability to meet agreed upon requirements.
  • Design and implement customized solutions to meet the ever-changing requirements for high-output and high-potential customers and account managers.
  • Provide market-competitive quotes for ArcBest customers with a focus on maintaining profitability and market share while making pricing decisions on multiple-quote scenarios and providing rates to customers on electronic bid board.
  • Establish a consistent cadence for conducting business reviews while creating the format, content, and deliverables needed to satisfy the customers’ expectations.
  • Develop an understanding of asset and asset light operations and convey the appropriate information to internal and external customers, including shipment tracking, proactive notification of delays, and best resolutions for transit issues.
  • Focus on developing asset light relationships through an understanding of quoting, operations, and fulfillment.
  • Have a strong competency in digital customer engagement while utilizing all channels of digital communication.
  • Provide ArcBest’s industry leading customer experience.
  • Provide account reporting on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment while providing industry leading customer solutions and service.
  • Provide weekend and after-hours coverage, as required.
  • Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Field Sales Support Analyst, you will be a member of the ArcBest Customer Solutions team in Fort Smith, AR. Work hours vary based on providing market coverage during normal business hours, generally Monday – Friday, 7am – 7pm. May include irregular hours, including weekend, depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: Minimum, three years’ experience in customer service or sales, and/or prior transportation knowledge, preferred.

Computer Skill: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred.
