Currently, we are looking for a System Deployment Specialist to join the ArcBest Technologies team. The System Deployment Specialist requires excellent problem solving as well as time management skills. This position loads software, configures, and repairs corporate workstations, laptops, tablets, electronic logging devices and handheld devices for ArcBest and its subsidiaries.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Load software and configure new corporate workstations/laptops/tablets/handheld devices.
  • Assist in development and testing of images for corporate machines.
  • Activate cellular service and configure handheld devices.
  • Diagnose and solve computer hardware/software problems encountered by corporate users.
  • Submit warranty claims for defective hardware with various vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic logging devices.
  • Install/replace various computer hardware components and software packages/upgrades.
  • Benchmark new equipment.
  • Assist in implementation of new technologies.
  • Assist in maintaining corporate anti-virus and firewall applications.
  • Contribute to and maintain systems standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation.
  • Enter information into asset management tracking system.
  • Asset tag equipment received as appropriate.
  • Coordinate processing and shipping of computer equipment to corporate field users.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Systems Deployment Specialist, you will be a member of the ArcBest Technologies team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent field, preferred.

Experience: Minimum, two years’ experience in related field preferred.

Computer Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of PC hardware and software, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit. Working knowledge of network technologies and troubleshooting device connectivity. Broad understanding of smartphones, electronic logging devices, tablets, and handheld devices. Ability to quickly research, assimilate, and utilize new technology.

Other requirements: A+ certification also preferred.
