Job Description

The role of the APG Pharma Groups Product Manager V (PM) is to ensure delivery of the SmartFactory Rx suite of applications according to the business needs in support of the GPM. Location: Greater Boston area, Santa Clara, CA or can be remote in the US.

General Profile

To provide leadership and support for the GPM in product delivery among the various business groups: research and development, marketing, application engineering, sales and business operations both within the APG Pharma group and larger Applied.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provides support and leadership to managers and professional staff and cross-functional teams

+ Develops broad and comprehensive business & marketing plans, assesses market penetration and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share

+ Apply broad and comprehensive knowledge to recommend investment decisions for new product development

+ Conducts broad and comprehensive competitive analysis for specific products or product lines

+ Applies broad and comprehensive knowledge to establish pricing strategies to build and protect a leadership position in market share while enhancing profit margins and developing marketing tools for successful product introductions.

+ Partners with Engineering, Customers, Applications and Sales to develop new products and enhance existing products as well as communicate critical market needs and time requirements

+ Develops roadmaps and sets priorities with R&D to deliver product

+ Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of technical and business environment

+ Develops and articulates strategies to meet business objectives.

+ Assists QA with governance of Pharma SDLC (Software Design Life-Cycle) process Assists QA and R&D with governance on validation (including 3rd Party) and regulatory adherence to: 21CFR11, GAMP 4/5, EU Annex 11

+ Ensures Product release requirements and documentation/packaging are met

+ Supports technical sales as needed and demo and working environments for application engineering teams

+ Works with the field support team to ensure synergistic account approaches and optimization of all opportunities for account partnership and penetration


Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Science or Engineering related)

Years of Experience: 10 – 15 Years in Life Sciences
