Cox Communications is searching for a Technical Project Manager for the OSPC (Outside Plant & Construction) residential program who will plan, organize, and manage the onboarding and tracking of all Fiber Reinforcement, Customer Impact Mitigation, Test Equipment, Cable Replacement, Conversion/Relocates and other residential project types as needed. You will plan, organize, secure, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. You will partner with project stakeholders, internal customers, external vendors, and cross-functional teams. You will facilitate a cross-functional team to execute on defined deliverables and drives key decisions. Uses industry recognized/generally accepted PM knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to achieve a project's stated objectives.
In this role you will be asked to assist with the deployment of new processes, tools and strategies for the success of the overall program as well as the individual projects and areas you serve. Building successful relationships will be important to your ongoing success.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Lead medium/large and/or moderately complex projects under moderate to minimal supervision
Builds relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion
Produce and report on KPIs and metrics
Budget management typically includes tracking and monitoring spend to project milestones
Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports as needed
Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers
Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations
Reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle, including the ability to forecast.
Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures
Able to work independently or as part of a team to solve larger issues or mitigate ongoing risks or process gaps.
Sets and manages expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes
Develops methods to measure customer satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for time, and results
Proactively anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change including standardization efforts, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status
Creates and applies project control techniques that reduce risk from changing technological infrastructure, hardware, automations, systems software, or applications systems
Manages, the creation and tracking of processes, procedures, and documentation that improve environment stability, availability, and consistency


Qualifications:
Minimum:
3 years of experience in related field (i.e. Change management, process improvement, project management) or academic equivalent training or projects
Working knowledge of functional or related processes
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills
Ability to work within multiple tools and systems
Preferred:
BS/BA degree in related discipline
Experience in telecommunications industry and/or enterprise construction
