Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas (UA Cossatot) began in DeQueen, Arkansas in 1975 as an Arkansas Vocational-Technical School, designed to provide relevant workforce training for four counties in southwest Arkansas. Department's Website:https://www.cccua.edu/jobsSummary of Job Duties:This position will assist in carrying out the daily activities of the adult education program. Responsibilities include greeting visitors and students, and providing accurate information to the public. Completing intake/registration on new students. Administering Locator and Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) Tests for placement and for progress. Maintaining student files and entering updated info/scores as necessary. Monitoring student sign-in sheets and calculate totals. Assisting students in computer lab with educational programs and job related activities. Providing assistance to instructors teaching academic subjects and/or English as a Second Language (ESL) by preparing materials, answering questions, and providing individualized tutoring as needed. Assist in scheduling the Official General Educational Development (GED) Ready Tests and the official GED Tests. Attendance at required trainings and meetings.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED diploma
Computer skills
Good attention to detail
Must be friendly and approachable

Salary Information:$11 per hour; 20 hours per week
