ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital Implementation Director sets objectives for and manages multiple projects/ ongoing work activities of high complexity to effectively deliver Digital Medicine & Translational Imaging (DMTI) projects and collaborations. The Digital Implementation Director provides technical/functional expertise on the governance process and the foundational tools that support planning, communication, operations, and continuous improvements in new technology evaluation and trials. S/he will be aware of Early Clinical Development (ECD) & Global Product Development (GPD) systems and processes.

The Digital Implementation Director will also bring operational improvements and outsourcing process expertise and champion the implementation and use of harmonized, consistent processes to deliver cost-effective, timely, high-quality clinical trial data. The incumbent utilizes industry and general business environment knowledge to adapt and implement strategic action and implement compliance and global security processes necessary to deploy new digital health technologies in clinical research & development studies. They will also interpret DMTI strategy to establish business priorities that support and help to set long-term direction and strategy.

The role will be accomplished via partnerships with other roles, including:

Championing innovation

Colleagues within and outside WRDM, GPD and Digital organizations

Develops and leverages resources to implement innovative ideas/processes/ products across DMTI

Takes appropriate risks to achieve desired results; guides matrixed reports on acceptable levels of risk-taking

Contribute to developing tools with software teams to improve user experience with research applications and increase dissemination of knowledge. The position requires experience and knowledge in healthcare and digital health technology development and an onsite location in Cambridge, MA.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets objectives for and manages multiple projects/ ongoing work activities of high complexity and operational efforts of the Digital Medicine and Translational Imaging group. *

Effectively facilitate logistics of the department, team, and cross-functional meetings.

May need to manage resources outside of the direct authority * Ensure that the team achieves milestones on time and within budget. *

Play a key role in managing clinical study logistics, including drafting protocols, IRB approval process, contracting with external partners, and execution of the study. *

Ensure proper documentation, organization, and tracking of all material and finances for projects *

Represent the team at business venues and meetings, conferences, interactions with external and internal stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Basic Qualifications

BS / MBA with 10+ years of project management experience *

Excellent communication and presentation skills *

Effective project management and quality improvement methodologies and approaches. *

Understanding of the biopharmaceutical environment and the drug development process. *

Finance and budget management experience (>5 years)

Preferred Qualifications

BS / MS / MBA with 15+ years of project management experience. *

Proven track record of success in operationalizing and executing strategic initiatives. *

>10 years in change management and process improvement experience

Finance and budget management experience (>10 years)

PMP certification or equivalent experience. *

Certified Lean Six Sigma Black-belt

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Some business travel <10% total time.
